Trends That Are Going to Disappear This Year & the Ones Set to Take Their Place
Out with the old in with the new! In true interior design fashion trends come and go, so we want to help keep you up to speed on what trends that will be everywhere and those that are going to fall by the wayside.
We are going to warn you that a lot of farmhouse décor fans might be upset about this list…
Let’s go with the good news first!
Hot trends you will be seeing more of in 2021:
- “Grandmillennial” or “granny chic” which consists of decorating your home with elements you might have found in your grandparents home
- Peel and stick wallpaper
- Smooth tile is out and Rustic ceramics will be its replacement
- Green Cabinets
- Industrial styling: exposed stonework, high ceilings, wood & metal elements, and neutral colors
- Wicker and rattan furniture
We are definitely excited to see how these are going to pop up in home design this year!
Now for the downer part. We are sad to see them go but they had their time in the spotlight.

Of course this list is not the end all be all and if you still want to rock the all-white interior or throw up some barn doors than you do you, because in the end your home should reflect you and your style not anyone else’s!
