What Realtors Need to Know About Millennials
Millennials aren’t the millennials you think you knew; they are now between the ages of 25-37 and contrary to what people are saying are actually buying homes!
So as a realtor this is the demographic that you should be going after especially since a large portion of Millennials are already purchasing their second or third homes. Not only are they well connected and have a large network, but they also know the value of hiring a realtor, you just need to make sure you are up to snuff.
- Make sure you’re social and have your contact information easily accessible online. Have you googled yourself lately? Does your contact information, website and social media platforms quickly pop up?
- Be able to stay in contact with your client through all means of communication (text, email, tweet, and FaceTime.)
- Make the whole process as easy as possible by using the latest technology for signing documents, previewing homes, etc.
The easier the process is the better the experience is for not only millennial clients but all clientele! It also really helps if you can be an expert when it comes to advising them on financing, credit score, how much money they should expect to set money aside for closing costs and if need be, help with a mortgage lender!
The more well versed you are as a realtor the more trust you gain from a client, especially a millennial client!
