One company is J.D. Power. This year Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ranked #1 in the repeat home seller category of the 2017 Home Buyer/Seller Satisfaction Study℠.
What is J.D. Power
J.D. Power is a market research company. It assesses customer satisfaction across various industries from automotive and financial companies to insurance and real estate companies. It’s goal is to study consumers in each industry to assess customer satisfaction to help aide buyer decisions and help companies improve their engagement and performance. For each industry J.D. power collects independent ratings based on different criteria.
What is the J.D. Power Home Buyer/Seller Satisfaction Study ℠
For the Real Estate Industry, there is one consumer report collected called the Home Buyer/Seller Satisfaction Study℠. This report collects data based on four categories – First Time Buyer, First Time Seller, Repeat Buyer and Repeat Seller. It compares the top 5 Real Estate Companies to assess consumer perceptions and experiences of those who bought and sold homes between March 2016 and April 2017. This year’s study in based on 5,117 total responses from consumers.

This year Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices received the highest numerical score for the repeat home seller category. Key areas that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices excelled in were agent satisfaction, marketing and consumer satisfaction with the closing process. The team also ranked second in the first time buyer category. In this category Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices excelled in consumer satisfaction with the office atmosphere.
